General ABA Services

What is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)?

ABA is a science-based approach that focuses on understanding why behaviors occur and teaching meaningful, practical skills that improve daily life. It’s individualized for each client and supported by decades of research.

How is ABA different from other therapies?

ABA therapy uses data to guide every decision. Each program is customized based on individual strengths, goals, and the function of behavior — helping clients gain independence faster and more effectively.

What types of services do you offer?

We provide a range of ABA-based programs, including one-on-one therapy, Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), social skills groups, parent training, and community-based supports.

How often will my child receive therapy sessions?

Session frequency depends on individual needs and goals. Some clients attend several times per week, while others participate in smaller group or maintenance programs. We’ll determine this together during the intake process.

What ages do you work with?

We serve individuals from early childhood through adulthood. Programs are tailored to meet developmental and skill levels, not just age.

Our Team

Who will be working with my child?

Your child’s team includes a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who designs and oversees the program and a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who implements therapy sessions under the BCBA’s guidance.

What is a BCBA?

A BCBA is a master’s-level professional with specialized training in behavioral science, assessment, and program design. They ensure all services are ethical, effective, and individualized.

What is an RBT?

A Registered Behavior Technician is a certified paraprofessional trained in behavior analysis who works directly with clients. RBTs receive ongoing supervision and feedback from the BCBA to ensure high-quality care.

Will I meet my child’s BCBA before therapy begins?

Absolutely. During intake and goal setting, you’ll meet your BCBA to discuss your child’s strengths, challenges, and priorities.

Insurance & Payment

What insurance plans do you accept?

We currently accept Step Up for Students scholarships and Private Pay. We’re actively working to expand our accepted insurance networks.

Do you offer private pay options?

Yes — we offer flexible private pay options that allow for fully customized scheduling and services without insurance restrictions.

Can I get a superbill for reimbursement?

Yes! If you’d like to submit claims to your insurance independently, we can provide detailed superbills upon request.

Parent Involvement

How can parents participate in therapy?

We believe parent involvement is essential. We offer caregiver coaching sessions and provide home practice suggestions so progress continues beyond the therapy setting.

Do you offer parent training?

Yes — parent training is included in many of our programs. It helps families learn strategies for communication, reinforcement, and behavior support at home.

What happens if my child has a difficult day?

That’s okay — it’s part of the learning process. Our team uses compassionate, evidence-based strategies to support clients safely while maintaining dignity and respect.

How do you keep parents informed about progress?

We provide regular updates, data summaries, and progress reviews. Your BCBA will meet with you to discuss what’s working and where adjustments may be helpful.

Scheduling & Policies

How do I schedule an intake appointment?

You can fill out our quick intake form online or call our office directly. We’ll reach out within one business day to get started.

Where do sessions take place?

We provide services in-home, at our clinic, in schools, and in the community — depending on what works best for your family and goals.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask for 24-hour notice for cancellations. Repeated no-shows may result in termination of services.

What should we bring to the first session?

We recommend bringing any relevant reports (e.g., evaluations, IEPs), snacks or comfort items your child enjoys, and an open mind — we’ll handle the rest!

How long does the intake process take?

The intake process typically takes 1–2 weeks, including assessment, paperwork, and scheduling.
